Dr. Gaballah signs the contract Salvation of Karnak and Luxor Temples
Reported by Naglaa El Zahlawi

The deterioration of the pharaonic monuments in Egypt is a direct result of the effect of increased ground water levels considered as an important factor contributing to this deterioration. This is representing a great danger in El Karnak and Luxor temple areas. The site is located on the northern part of Luxor on the eastern side of the Nile River. The main cause of damage occurred in the stones can be controlled by a combination of lowering the ground water level and measures to break the capillary transport of salt-laden water.
