VERSE 1

Reflections of the dark side
crescent burning white
Earthshine rolling through my brain in the middle of the night
Hazy summer evening
ring around the moon
wingspread of the ivory dove, due to be here soon.
 

Impressions of a distant world, marred by a timeless past
Airless silence comes to terms as the dark side shows at last

Rainbow color pierce the darkness,
rings of Saturn fade away
Moving skyward, ever onward, waiting for the day……….

VERSE 2

What are you doing way out there?
It took so long to find you
Beyond the reaches of the earth, where earthly ways can’t bind you.
You knew with time enough to spare,
the place where you belong.
You took your time but you made it there,
now I’d like to come along…..
